New Energy Application

Tesla update 2022.36 features new Energy App, Supercharger popular times

New Energy Application

Tesla’s next update will be 2022.36 update instead of 2022.32. The naming of the Tesla version depends on the year and number of the week. So the 2022.36 update was supposed to start around the 36th week of 2022.

Tesla traditionally releases an update every four weeks, but sometimes updates can take longer to develop, test, or fix bugs, causing the version number to fall off the calendar.

Although this doesn’t happen often, Tesla has exceeded update version numbers in the past.

Given that we’re now in the 39th week of the year, Tesla has chosen to skip the 2022.32 release and go straight to 2022.36.

The 2022.36 update is just around the corner and we are now taking our first look at the features that are included in this update.

New language

Tesla is adding support for a new language bringing its total to over 20 now. Update 2022.36 introduces Lithuanian as a supported language for on-screen vehicle controls.

More notifications

About two years ago, Tesla added the ability to notify you via your mobile phone if you left car doors, trunks, or windows open.

With 2022.32 they add to this feature and it will now notify you if the vehicle has been left unlocked.

If you have the direct lock feature turned on, your car automatically locks when you walk away if you use the phone key or the ignition key. You also have the option to dismiss the lock when you are at home.

Charger details

When you click on the Supercharger icon in the car’s navigation system, a pop-up will open showing additional information about that Supercharger’s location.

Tesla already shows you the number of kiosks available, the price, and the facilities available on site.

With 2022.36, Tesla has redesigned the popup and will display the historical usage of each of the supercharger’s locations.

It looks like Tesla will showcase typical site usage by providing hourly analysis of how busy a supercharger usually is at certain times of the day.

This feature should allow us to easily view the Superchargers‘ busiest times, allowing us to plan a little better to stop charging.

new energy graph

The biggest feature of 2022.36 is a new energy graph.

Tesla has made huge improvements around its energy forecast in the last few updates, and while it hasn’t changed the UI for its energy graph, it has led to more accurate forecasts which now require wind, humidity, number of passengers, phone charging and more to be taken into account when forecasting energy usage. .

With 2022.36, Tesla is introducing a new Energy app that shows more details about how a car uses energy.

The new S and X models didn’t have a power graph and now that might explain why. Tesla has probably been working on this new power graph for a while and didn’t want to spend time adapting the old app to fit the new vehicles. New vehicles may finally receive an Energy app with this update.

The new energy graph will not only let you view the energy the car uses while driving, but also the amount of energy that was used while the car is parked.

Whether the car was going or parked, you’ll now be able to see a complete breakdown of all the different systems in the car and how much power they’ve used. Unfortunately, Tesla does not display the power used in kilowatts, but in percentage.

The vehicle will also provide suggestions on how to improve efficiency.

At the top of the energy graph where you would normally have consumption and trip, you will now have a new option called Park which displays the energy used while standing.

The consumption screen looks similar to the way it did before. Displays the vehicle’s energy usage on the graph for the chosen distance.

However, the views of the Park and Trip have been completely renovated.

On the Park screen, the vehicle will display the various vehicle components and their energy consumption. For example, the car will divide its energy consumption into several categories including the car display, car pre-conditioning, cabin overheating protection, guard mode, mobile app use and more.

Next to each class, the vehicle will display the percentage of power used for the feature and how it compares to the rest of the fleet. This may be useful to let you know if the amount of power used for this feature is in line with expectations.

You will also be able to change the time frame since your last departure or other periods.

Similar to the Park screen, the new Trip screen also shows a breakdown of the energy used across different vehicle systems, although it also adds a graph at the top, similar to what’s available in the car today.

The graph will change colors automatically, not based on the state of the battery’s charge, but based on whether the vehicle is using more or less power on a particular part of the track when compared to its prediction.

Under the graph, Tesla will display the amount of energy used in driving, climate, battery conditioning, altitude, and other systems.

In addition to displaying the percentage of energy used for each system, Tesla will also compare your usage with its forecast and the percentage difference above or below the forecast.

There may be other features in update 2022.36 that are not mentioned here and we will have to wait a little longer to see if there are any additional features.

The biggest update in this build appears to be the new Power app, and many owners will be delighted with its release.

We may start to see 2022.36 come out to the public in the next couple of weeks. You can also view the release notes for 2022.36.

Tesla has notified NHTSA that it will update its automatic expansion system

Tesla will soon send an over-the-air update to address its automatic window reversal system. While testing the product in mid-August, the company’s technicians discovered that the system varies in response to obstructions in the window’s path. After further testing, Tesla concluded that it would inform the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the voluntary recall to address the problem.

The majority of Tesla recalls are very different from traditional car recalls. Tesla owners do not have to make an appointment and bring the car to the service department. Instead, the company will update approximately 1.1 million Tesla using a remote update. However, several news organizations picked up on the recall, some linking it to a drop in the stock price when the market closed. Elon Musk chirpThe terms are outdated and inaccurate. This is a small software update over the air. To our knowledge, there were no injuries.

The recall and Musk’s tweet sparked a lot of discussion on social media and in the comments below articles on news sites. What Tesla does is not a calling in traditional terms. However, the only action available to the company in the current system is to notify the government and owners of the required changes.

With more of the auto industry following Tesla’s lead, the term recall would be misleading as most electric vehicle repairs should be done through upgrades, not actually bringing the vehicle to a service center for parts change. A more appropriate term that should replace recall in the new EV world should be: update. You’ll read the headlines, Tesla updates its automatic window inversion system. This is more accurate of what is happening. It should come as no surprise that Tesla doesn’t quite fit in with the outdated terminology used in the industry.

In a report filed with NHTSA, Tesla stated that it „is not aware of any warranty claims, field reports, accidents, injuries, or deaths related to this case.“ However, starting from September 13, the company has started to update the firmware for pre-delivery vehicles and one production line. The change came a day after federal authorities were notified of the voluntary summons. The remote update will go to Model Xs, and Model Ss built between 2021 and 2022; The Model Ys was produced from 2020-2022 and Model 3s dated back to when the car first appeared on the market in 2017.

Elon Musk says the latest FSD Beta, version 10.69.2 will be available today

Elon Musk already promised additional improvements to Tesla’s fully autonomous driving beta shortly after AI Day on September 30. We’re now getting some details on what version 10.69.3 will include.

The FSD Beta group grew 60 percent in the United States and Canada when Tesla lowered its security score requirements from 90 to 80. There are now about 160,000 Tesla owners in the program. This jump means that more enthusiasts are submitting FSD comments on Musk’s favorite platform – Twitter.

Chuck Cook, the man behind the infamous Chuck corner, also known as the unprotected left turn, took FSD’s latest spin in his most tested spot. His YouTube videos are great, especially the unprotected videos on the left that show the many camera angles of his Tesla car cruising through this tricky spot. He posted a video on Twitter showing a successful 10.69.2.2 workout across the area causing Cook to applaud and cheer, „Wow, yeah!“

Small Gaps Improvements

Not surprisingly, Musk saw the video. Referring to Cook at a recent shareholder meeting, he said he would welcome fair and honest criticism of the role, and said it would be addressed. chief executive officer replied To the video: „The car will move in tighter gaps as we enhance NN (neural networks) speed predictions for crossing traffic. 10.69.3 Next month has some step-change improvements.“ NN stands for Neural Networks, and this response shows that although Cook agrees, Musk is confident the system can and will perform better.

Turn signal improvements

Twitter user @Johnkrausephotos chirp: „Lovely FSD Beta – BUT – Can the vehicle initiate the turn signal before switching into the turn lane? The signal is used to change lanes based on speed but not to merge into the turn lane.“ The tweet caused a lot of backlash as some users criticized the company’s programming of its cars to change lanes before sending signals. Musk must have been on the same page because he replied with a simple „yes“ and no further explanation.

Match speed with traffic

Tesla owners in Silicon Valley Took Twitter to ask: „Elon When does Tesla speed up when you notice traffic going faster? Sometimes it goes slow.“ Once again, Musk received a quick and short response in his tweet, „Next month.“ We can only guess that this will be part of version 10.69.3 as well.

This trio of improvements is expected to be downloaded to Teslas with FSD right after AI Day. So while the world awaits the unveiling of Optimus, the human-like robot, Tesla owners will be excited to see what 10.69.3 brings to the car.
